Telehealth

Online Therapy & Support

The convenience, privacy, flexibility and comfort of online therapy is a great way to get the support you need. Telehealth can help you navigate this “new normal” during these ever changing times to help you feel more balanced, less stressed and learn coping skills to deal with the current stressors in our world.

What is Telehealth?

Telehealth or Telepsychology is not a different type of care, but rather merely a new modality of care. Simply put, it’s a therapy session that can be done through a video on your computer, smartphone, tablet-enabled device, or even on the phone. Dr. Brown uses a HIPPA compliant and secure platform. She partners with you to work on developing an approach in therapy that will be productive, flexible and help you to achieve your treatment goals.

telehealth

Telehealth is well received by many due to the convenience and how it has been shown to be as effective as in person therapy. It enhances patient care, and minimizes travel. During this time of social distancing, telehealth has allowed clients to receive counseling without leaving their home via telephone or video devices.

Is it covered by my insurance?

Most insurance companies including Medicare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Aetna are covering telehealth sessions in the same way as if you were in the office. Dr. Brown will work with you to verify your health insurance benefits and confirm if there are any out of pocket costs.

How can I book a session?

To book an online session call Dr. Brown at (708) 955-8070.
